Become a Partner: Broker Integration
Welcome! This guide is intended for brokers and financial institutions that want to connect their trading interfaces to the brokerize platform. An integration enables your customers to manage and trade their portfolios directly in a variety of partner applications.
API Connection: Two Integration Paths
Depending on whether you already provide a public trading API or are building a new interface, the technical starting point differs:
Scenario A: You already have an API
If your institution already provides an API (e.g. REST with OpenAPI/Swagger), we first exchange the existing technical documentation. We review your specification against our requirements and build a tailored broker adapter for your system.
Scenario B: You are developing a new API
If you do not have an API yet or want to build a dedicated interface for brokerize, we have a standard specification in progress. This is currently not publicly available.
Please contact us so that we can provide you with the current status of the specification.
The Integration Process
Connecting a new broker to brokerize follows a structured process. A central element throughout all phases is our Onboarding Checklist. It serves as a key working baseline that guides us step by step to ensure a smooth integration.
The 8 Integration Phases
-
Initial call: Introduction and clarification of strategic collaboration and core technical capabilities.
-
Resource exchange:
- Scenario A: Provide your API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) and technical materials.
- Scenario B: Align the API development based on our standard specification (currently in progress). Please contact us directly.
-
Technical analysis & checklist: While we review the provided resources, you complete the initial version of the checklist as preparation. This ensures both sides share the same understanding of the current feature support status.
-
Alignment and contract: Align on regulatory setup and sign contractual agreements.
-
Test environment & integration kickoff:
- Scenario A: You provide your sandbox; we start building the adapter.
- Scenario B: You begin API development based on our standard specification (please contact us for details). We provide guidance and start implementation on our side as far as possible and useful. In both cases, we need access to a test environment as early as possible (see test accounts).
-
Close collaboration: During integration, we stay in close contact through short communication channels (Teams, Slack) to clarify details quickly.
-
Testing & quality assurance (QA): Intensive validation of all functions in the test environment. We jointly verify requirement coverage and run end-to-end tests.
-
Go-Live: After successful acceptance, the integration is rolled out in a structured way for end users in production.
Do not treat the Onboarding Checklist as a one-time form, but as an active working document. It is the basis for our alignment and is updated regularly together to keep integration progress transparent.
